I spent all night and the whole 6 hour drive home finishing the audio book of Circe by Madeline Miller and I am now just a shell of a person👻 I feel like my heart has gone through a blender, and I'm like... grateful for it? MM's writing is pure magic and clearly I'm living for it, considering I've already hopped straight into Song of Achilles! What other Greek myth retellings have you liked?? This is pretty much all I know, unless PJO counts😂

Can you guess any of these books by their maps? It's a little* ridiculous how much I enjoy book maps. Things can get confusing when the characters travel a lot, so not only are maps helpful, but it's just an awesome little detail that makes the world seem so much more real📚 . . . . *A LOT

June kicked off summer with a really good month of reads, with one of my favorites being Mirage by Somaiya Daud! It's a sci-fi fantasy that follows a girl named Amani who is kidnapped by the nearly identical-looking Princess Maram, the daughter of the ruthless ruler of the Vathek . For her safety, Maram requires a body double to act as her in public events, a role she expects Amani to fill. It was dynamic, I loved the writing, the world building was b e a u t i f u l, and as you can imagine, all sorts of fun political power-struggle shenanigans ensue! Mirage's book birthday isn't until August 28th, but definitely one to put on your TBRs📚 What's on your summer TBR?? Have you had any 5 star reads? Trying to channel my rainy day vibes like☕+📚=👍 . . It's been chucking down the rain the past 3 weeks (hello Japan, it's typhoon season calling😧) buuuuut on the bright side it's given me plenty of time to read. I've been tearing through some books and got 6 read in the month of June, which is pretty much the bulk of my year's worth or reading so far😂 So what are you currently reading? You know those books that you hear about and never get around to but when you finally do your mind is completely blown and you're kicking yourself like WHY didn't I read this SOONER?! 👉 Well hello friends, I'd like you to meet City of Brass, the cause of my current book hangover. I STILL haven't written a review for this because I'm struggling to find the words to pinpoint why/ how much I enjoyed this book. But if you're into ancient magic, political power struggles/schemes, morally ambiguous characters, and basically just historical fantasy set in the Middle East, I highly recommend this👍 You gotta let me know, what's a book you regret not reading sooner?? ⭐ #cityofbrass #sachakraborty

All of the ebooks I requested on my library website a few weeks ago have all become available AT THE SAME TIME meaning I have a total of 7 days (now 6😭) to finish 5 books, so challenge accepted?? I'm catching up on my TBR and one of my most anticipated reads that I got for this summer is the Children of Blood and Bone! I got it as an audio book so I'm trying to listen to that while I'm cooking/cleaning/whatever and then I read the other books in my downtime, but it's becoming abundantly clear that I am not one of those people that can read multiple books at the same time. Kudos to those of you who can, you truly amaze me👍
